I'm not superstitious, but...

...three magpies flew up in front of me out of a bush as I cycled home tonight.

A single magpie also flew up at another point, but as I'm not superstitious that doesn't matter.

1 for sorrow
2 for joy
3 for a girl, and
4 for a boy...)
