This is an issue that is really making me angry now. Follow the links from the BBC, and you'll find an article about early babies feeling real pain. As a 29-week baby back in the Sixties, I was considered to be viable by an extremely far-sighted consultant. I am horrified to think that I might now be seen as a 'bed-blocker' for more robust infants. The thought that someone might mis-use information to snuff out the smaller ones, is the stuff of nightmares. I hope those of you with healthy, full-term babies feel the same.
